"Uhodila naše hodina" – Brandenburgers in Bohemia 1279 [Proposed Czech Anthem in 1907]
"Uhodila naše hodina" ("Our Hour Has Arrived") is a composition work by Czech composer Bedřich Smetana from 1863-opera The Brandenburgers in Bohemia set to the 13th century Bohemia, when Otto V, Margrave of Brandenburg in 1278 captured King Wenceslaus II and occupied Bohemia. Czech Royal estates started campaign for the release of the King, while Brandeburg mercenaries plundered Prague that let to the uprising of the poor townsmen.
In 1907 it was proposed as one of the songs for new Czech national anthem. Again in 1917 new proposal with the new lyrics by František Adolf Šubert was part of the national competition for a national anthem.
